Gostuša Accommodation
Stara Planina accommodation in Gostuša village will be a true step back in time. We are rebuilding an old traditional house as they were constructed centuries ago. Its walls are still going to be made of mud while we are remaking original stone plates to cover the roof. The entire work is undertaken with natural materials and thus its old windows will not be replaced with the popular PVC, but with genuine wood. If you are familiar with our accommodation and the way we reconstruct our old houses all over Serbia, you won't be surprised by this small project of ours. Given that it's hard to find traditional masons in the area, our Gostuša work will last a bit longer than we expected. Still, we gathered a quality team that will do wonders with the materials we acquired for creating this house as beautiful and authentic as it once was. By the way, the village Gostuša is declared a protected cultural legacy area.
Stara Planina Gostuša
Gostuša settlement dates back to the 19th century. The village was so picturesque that it would be such a pity to abandon it and build something that would disrupt the tradition of the area. That is why our accommodation will consist of a large house with a fireplace, a smaller one, and all the furniture will be authentically restored. When it comes to nearby landmarks, one can visit Zavojsko Lake or the Vrtibog valley. There was such an amount of cattle here that it couldn't be counted. A lot of skillful cattlemen came from this area. One should know about the famous Vrtibog Cheese, which was once exported all the way to America. Well, follow our progress on social media and we are going to notify you when the accommodation is ready to welcome its first guests.

It’s straight up close, but it has to go in the boat.

The store is located in the villages Drmanovica and Akmacici, 5km from the cottage, and as far as the restaurant is concerned there are several in Nova Varos.
